Mpact Recycling joins forces with HospiceWits to set up a community drop-off site in Houghton
Reduce, reuse and recycle are not just buzz words in the media. Do you know where your waste ends up when you throw it into a litter bin as opposed to separating it for recycling?
Johannesburg, 14 September 2020: South Africans have heard the “please recycle” message time and time again. However, with National Recycling Day around the corner, it is a crucial opportunity for citizens to truly reflect on their waste habits and become more conscious of the impact of waste that is so often thrown away on a whim. Leading up to National Recycling Day on 18 September 2020, leading South African recycler, Mpact Recycling is encouraging the country to look at recyclables in a different way.
Leading recycling company in South Africa, Mpact Recycling, joined forces with Mix Steel Dealers and Recycling to support 100 waste pickers in Elsie’s Rivier, Western Cape this week. The company which procures waste in the form of white paper, cardboard and other grades of recyclables for its mills has been working closely within the communities it operates in, to provide assistance in the form of food parcels.
